One of the things we love about agentic commerce is that it brings the spirit of open-source back - something the e-commerce industry isn’t used to. This aligns with the broader AI community, where incredible developer efforts happen in the open. Both OpenAI’s ACP and Google’s UCP are open-source, and importantly, they keep the merchant as the merchant of record, with real emphasis on merchants retaining control and sovereignty.
This philosophy of merchant sovereignty is foundational to how we design our products and roadmap. We see it as critical for brands and retailers that want to remain in control and future-proof themselves. That’s why we previously released the first open-source ACP Checkout implementation, along with a tool to validate your ACP checkout setup.

An open directory of merchants supporting the UCP standard (ACP coming soon). We maintain an open GitHub repo with a list of merchants and their protocol support. Currently, UCP has a spec for merchants to add endpoints to their websites containing the entire agentic commerce configuration. ACP doesn’t have this yet, but there was a big change in the protocol last week that suggests this is coming very soon.
